The number of flood victims in Sarawak dropped to 5,631 this morning from 6,344 last night while in Kelantan and Perak the number remained unchanged at 255 and 77, respectively, from last night.
A spokesperson of the Sarawak National Security Council (NSC) said the evacuees were being housed at 38 relief centres, the latest one having been opened this morning in the Long Panai area in Miri to accommodate 31 victims.
He said the Kuching division had 3,122 victims; Samarahan, 1,184; Limbang, 1,226 and Mukah, 68.
