General : Traffic Remains Slow At Certain Stretches Of Major Highways

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) — As at 9 p.m today the traffic flow at several stretches along the major highways remained slow due to the rising number of vehicles on the road.

A spokesman for the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) noted that traffic was slow at certain stretches of the North-South Expressway (PLUS), namely from Yong Peng to Ayer Hitam and from Pedas Linggi to Nilai.

“In the north, traffic is moving slowly from Changkat Jering to Kuala Kangsar, before the Menora Tunnel to Jelapang, Simpang Pulai to Sungkai, Tapah to Gopeng and Jelapang to Kuala Kangsar,” he said when contacted here tonight.

Meanwhile, traffic is also slow at the East Coast Highway, especially from Bentong to Genting Sempah and nearing the Gombak Toll Plaza heading to Kuala Lumpur.
