GEORGE TOWN, June 17 (Bernama) — Members of the public are urged to donate blood so that the supply at the Penang General Hospital (HPP) will be adequate to meet demand during the festive season.
HPP Blood Bank Unit Medical Officer Dr Siti Atiqah Abd Halim said the demand for and use of blood would rise each time during the festive season not only in Malaysia, but all over the world.
She said the demand and use of blood each day was estimated at 70 pints (350ml up to 450ml) but it would rise during the festive season while the blood collected would decline because of the holiday season.
