KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 (Bernama) — The government has to diversify revenue to reduce the country’s fiscal deficit to 3.5 per cent this year and achieve a balanced budget by 2020.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in his Facebook posting today, said sustainable spending is part of the government’s 10-year Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), aimed at turning Malaysia into a high-income economy by 2020.
