KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 (Bernama) — Relatives of people in prisons, rehabilitation centres and the Henry Gurney School can visit them on Oct 6 and 7 in conjunction with Aidiladha on Oct 5, according to the Prisons Department.
It said in a statement that the visiting hours were from 8.15 am to 4.15 pm and visitors were required to bring along the visitor’s card and identity card.
“Priority will be given to visits by relatives of Muslim inmates,” it said.
The department said visitors were prohibited from bringing food or drinks for the inmates, adding that these could be purchased at the prison canteen.
Visitors were discouraged from giving money to the inmates, it said, adding that all basic necessities were being provided by the department.
