The Pengkalan Kubor by-election, which is taking place today, is being seen as one of the calmest by-election to have taken place in the country since the conclusion of the 13th general election.

The Election Commission (EC) had received a total of three complaints of offences during campaigning, but no trouble or scuffles had broken out throughout the period.

In fact, the environment during voting today is also cheerful in all 11 voting centres that are filled with party supporters.

Supporters had gathered at polling centres since 7.30am today to lend support for their respective candidates, while wearing blue and green shirts to express support.
