According to the state government’s flood portal, Pasir Mas still had the most number of victims with 10,575 at 32 relief centres.
In Tumpat, the number of evacuees had also dropped to 4,347 people this afternoon compared to 4,712 recorded at seven relief centres this morning.
The number of people evacuated in Kuala Krai, however, increased to 443 in five relief centres compared to only 350 people recorded this morning.
The water level in Sungai Golok at Rantau Panjang remained at the danger level, while the water level in three other rivers, namely Sungai Galas in Dabong, Gua Musang; Sungai Lebir in Tualang, Kuala Krai; and Sungai Kelantan in Tangga Krai, Kuala Krai had also exceeded their respective danger levels.
Four people have died since the second wave of floods hit Kelantan since Dec 16.
Meanwhile, Gua Musang police chief Supt Saiful Bahri Abdullah said Jalan Besar and Jalan Pekan Lama in Gua Musa were reported to be badly submerged by flood waters and not passable to any vehicles due to the overflowing Sungai Chinda.
As such, he said road users heading to Kota Baharu were advised to use Jalan Persiaran Raya.
“Other roads currently closed to traffic are Jalan Chiku-Aring, Jalan Kampung Batu Papan, Jalan Pekan Lama and Jalan Kampung Kerinting. The closure was due to the overflowing Sungai Lebir, Sungai Galas, Sungai Nenggiri and Sungai Ketil,” he said.
The overflowing rivers had also caused 200 residents in five villages were evacuated to relief centres in Gua Musang this morning, he added.
