NEW DELHI: Malaysia has taken a 1-0 lead against Indonesia in the Thomas Cup semi-final match at Siri Fort Stadium here.
In the first game, Datuk Lee Chong Wei defeated Tommy Sugiarto 21-19 and 21-13.
The winner of the Malaysia-Indonesia tie will meet Japan who stunned China 3-0 in an earlier semi-final match on Friday.
Next up is the doubles match between Tan Boon Heong-Hoon Tien How and Mohammad Ahsan-Hendra Setiawan.
The finals of the Thomas Cup will be held on Sunday.
