The police should investigate former chief justice Abdul Hamid Mohamad under the Sedition Act for his speech at a buka puasa event on Monday, says Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia (PHM) chairperson P Waythamoorthy.
Describing the speech as nauseating and degrading to all Malaysians, Waythamoorthy said in a statement that Hamid's message was directed at instigating ill-feelings among the Malay community.
“The police should investigate the former CJ for inciting racial hatred under the Sedition Act. The police must be impartial in their duties and be seen to apply the law equally."
