The parade and procession in conjunction with Merdeka Day at the Dataran Merdeka will go ahead on Aug 31, said Communications and Multimedia Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek.
However, he said, other events scheduled to be held to commemorate the 57th Independence anniversary would be reorganised, readjusted or cancelled.
