The interest of a Sarawak government crony that has taken precedence over the interests of the people is the cause for the delay of the RM200 million Sri Aman Hospital that was approved in 2009, says the Sri Aman DAP division.
The 50-acre site was swampy, but because it belonged to a member of Sarawak United People’s Party, the site was selected over another, much better site owned by “an outsider”, Sri Aman DAP division chief Leon Jimat Donald said today.
“The crony sold his land to the government for RM5 million,” Leon claimed. “In this instance, the interest of the crony has certainly taken precedence over the interest of the people.”
