Public contributions for Kuantan school collected by MCA at fund-raising dinner

KUALA LUMPUR: Chinese independent school SM Chong Hwa Kuantan has received RM525,000 boost of public contributions collected by MCA at a recent fund-raising dinner.

MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the amount given to the school was out of the RM1.45mil collected at the dinner organised by Gelang Patah MCA chairman Jason Teoh to raise funds for the school and Southern University College.

He witnessed the presentation of the mock cheque to Huazong president Tan Sri Pheng Yin Huah, who is also school management board committee chairman, on Thursday.
