Prominent rights and Islamic NGOs have called for the immediate resignation of party-less Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
“Any head of government upon losing the confidence of his party should just gracefully bow out. Khalid should just resign honourably,” the group of NGOs said in a statement today.
“As Selangor is not a presidential democracy, Khalid has no direct and personal mandate."
