PKR's Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli is determined to press for action on Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan for issuing contradicting statements on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue, and has submitted the relevant documents to the speaker.
Ahmad told the Lower House last Thursday that the government never issued a letter of support undertaking a RM9.6 billion loan from 1MDB.
Rafizi in a statement today said Ahmad's earlier remarks to the media prove the latter was aware of the existence of the support letter.
He added that Ahmad was trying to evade the issue after evidence of the letter was published by several dailies.
