PKR Alor Setar MP Gooi Hsiao Leung has lodged a police report against Selangor Umno Youth for inciting the public to intimidate him.
Gooi said in an article published in the website Selangorpress.com on Sept 29, the wing’s chief Zainuri Zainul claimed that Gooi wants to reduce the power of the Sultan.
He said Zainuri had distorted his statement to make it look as though he had insulted the Sultan, an allegation which he denied.
"He also threatened me by asking the Selangor people to spit on me when they meet me if I did not retract my statement," Gooi told Malaysiakini, after lodging the report in Alor Setar.
