KiniBiz | Mysterious Finance Ministry vehicle Pembinaan PFI Sdn Bhd is simply a vehicle for the government to raise funds for public infrastructure projects, said the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
“It (Pembinaan PFI) is innovative financing,” said PAC chairman Nur Jazlan Mohamed today, adding that the company, wholly owned by the Finance Ministry, provides an avenue for the government to raise funds without adding to government debt.
Speaking to the media today after a PAC hearing on Pembinaan PFI earlier this morning, Nur Jazlan was responding to a question on whether Pembinaan PFI is a way for Putrajaya to take on additional off-balance sheet debts.
