General : Sabah Police Outline Eight KPI For ESSZone OCPDs

KOTA KINABALU, July 25 (Bernama) — Sabah police have outlined eight key performance index (KPI) that must be implemented and achieved by all the ten district police chiefs (OCPD) in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (ESSZone).

State police commissioner, Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman said two of the KPIs had been implemented while the rest would be announced at the latest after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“For the 10 district police chiefs under ESSZone, I have outlined the standard operating procedure (SOP) and set their KPI in which at least one activity must be carried out every week,” he told reporters after handing over Raya cakes to heads of department and OCPDs for distribution.

He said ESSCom commander Datuk Abdul Rashid Harun had been informed of the matter.

On the current security in Sabah, he said, even though the situation was peaceful and under control, all security officers and personnel were reminded to be vigilant in facing any untoward incidents in ESSZone.

He also said there was positive development in the rescue effort of the police marine personnel, who was kidnapped in Mabul island last July 12.
