General : RapidKL Rail, Bus Services Extended For New Year

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 (Bernama) — The services of the city public transport, the RapidKL rail and bus services, will be extended to cater for the new year celebration especially those attending the ‘Malam Cintai Rasul 2015’ event at Dataran Merdeka on Wednesday night.

In a statement, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd said the Light Rail Transport (LRT) and Monorail services at key stations would be extended to 12.30 am, while bus services would be extended up to 1 am for selected routes.

“Stations involved in the service extension are Masjid Jamek and KLCC for RapidKL LRT Kelana Jaya Line; and Masjid Jamek for the Ampang Line.

“For the Monorail Line, the stations of Hang Tuah and Titiwangsa will be operating until 12.30 am,” it said.

Meanwhile, bus routes would be extended 30 minutes after the train services had ended.

It involved route U64 (Taman Sri Muda – Pasar Seni Hub (PSH), U66 (Taman Medan – PSH), U81 (Subang Suria – PSH), U88 (Section 8 Kota Damansara – PSH), U89 (Section 11 Kota Damansara-LRT Kelana Jaya), U30 (Pandan Mewah-Lebuh Ampang U68 (Sri Manja/Sentosa-PSH), U70 (Puchong Prima to PSH), U40 (Terminal Kajang to Mydin Sinar Kota), U23 (Taman Melawati to Lebuh Ampang), U224 (Bandar Dato Senu to Kotaraya) and U6 (Taman Jasa Utama to Medan Pasar).

Prasarana also advised commuters to use the MyRapid cards, which provides seamless travel on all three service networks.
