General : PVR Interview To Be Held At All IPD From Sept 2

IPOH, Aug 19 (Bernama) – The public interested in joining the Police Volunteer Reserve (PVR) can attend open interviews to be held over five days from Sept 2.

Perak police chief Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the interviews will be held at all district police headquarters (IPD) from Sept 2 to 6.

“We will recruit 500 members to be trained and placed in police stations near their homes,” he told reporters after the monthly assembly of Perak police contingent, here Tuesday.

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) encourages the participation from the public including professionals as they can give new ideas.

On another note, Acryl Sani said the police had traced false information spread via Whatapps that two fastfood restaurant employees were asaulted in Kuala Kangsar.

“I want to stress that no such incidents happened and it is a lie. The public are urged not to spread unvalidated information.”

He said police are doing their best to help society check the spread of false information via on social networking sites.

“This issue can cause the public to quarrel against each other. We should never believe what we read on social networking sites.”

After the monthly assembly, Bukit Aman director of Internal Security and Public Order Department Datuk Seri Salleh Mat Rashid, who was on a working visit to Perak, held a meeting with Acryl Sani.
