KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered his condolences to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in regard to the Malaysian Airliner crash over the Ukrainian territory.
Vladimir noted in his official website, http://eng.kremlin.ru , that the crash led to numerous casualties.
“The President of Russia asked the Prime Minister of Malaysia to convey his deepest sympathy and support to the victims’ families,” the website added.
Najib in his tweet said he was shocked by reports that Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH17 enroute from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur had crashed.
An international news agency reported that a Malaysian airplane had crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border today.
MAS in its latest tweet said it lost contact with the flight and the last known position was over Ukrainian airspace.
