General : Penang Police Records 32 Missing Assets In Four Years

GEORGE TOWN, June 4 (Bernama) — Penang police recorded 32 cases of missing assets involving ammunition magazines, firearms, motorcycles and handcuffs from 2010 to 2013.

State Police Chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said 16 cases had been settled including seven which had been imposed penalties totalling RM15,555.80 against the individuals responsible while the rest were being processed.

“For the nine cases which have been settled, one case was written off, one was given a letter of reprimand, one case involved a retired policeman, one case was imposed disciplinary action and five cases were closed,” he told reporters when attendin…
