BERUAS, June 4 (Bernama) — The Manjung Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Office seized two oil tankers laden with 26,020 litres of diesel worth RM50,000 at a premise in Jalan Api Kong, Ayer Tawar near here yesterday.
Its chief, Omar Ismail said the lorries were found in suspicious manner by enforcement officers on their rounds at 11.30am.
“While an inspection was carried out on the tankers, a 40-year-old man claiming to be their owner showed up. He does not have a permit to store or buy diesel in large quantity,” he told reporters here today.
