KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has offered his condolences to Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir on the passing of his father Abdul Kadir Muhammad, 73.
“May he be placed among the righteous. Al-Fatihah,” Najib said through twitter today.
‘Pak Karim’, as Abdul Kadir was affectionately addressed, succumbed to a heart attack at 1.10 am, at Hospital Desa Pangkor, Pulau Pangkor.
A statement from the Menteri Besar’s Office said the deceased would be buried at the Masjid Teluk Raja Bayang cemetery, Pulau Pangkor after Zohor prayers.
Abdul Kadir served as village chief of Teluk Raja Bayang for 23 years before retiring last year, and left behind seven children including Zambry.
