General : Defer Non-essential Trips To Libya – Anifah Advises Malaysians

PUTRAJAYA, June 6 (Bernama) — Malaysians are advised to defer or re-schedule their non-essential travel plans to Libya due to the country’s political unrest.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman in a statement here Friday said Wisma Putra was currently coordinating with the Malaysian Embassy in Tripoli to closely monitor the situation in the country.

He said the Malaysian Government was deeply concerned with the ongoing conflict and political unrest in Libya.

He said, according to the Malaysian Embassy in Tripoli, there were approximately 24 Malaysians currently registered with the embassy.
