General : BRTV Extends Closing Date Of Negara Bangsa Short Video Contest

KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Bernama) — The closing date of the Negara Bangsa Short Video Contest, organised by Bernama TV (BRTV), has been extended to September 16.

BRTV in a statement here Thursday said the date was extended from August 10 based on suggestions by the public, who needed more time to prepare their creativity.

“According to initial plans, each participation has to be submitted to the competition secretariat by post or hand delivery before August 10.

“However due to requests from the public, the closing date is now extended while participation forms can be obtained from www.bernama-tv.com/contest.html,” said BRTV.

The statement said the contest was aimed at instilling patriotism and the people’s love for the country besides giving avenue for Malaysians inside and outside the country to create a “Negara Bangsa”.

The contest also has the potential to discover new talents among the people to highlight their creative works as part of efforts to further develop the country’s creative industry.

The contest offers the winner RMRM10,000 plus a certificate of participation while the first and second runners up will receive RM7,000 and RM5,000 respectively.

The contest is a collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Office’s Strategic Planning Division and Prime Minister’s Department’s National Civis Bureau, which was launched last February 28.

Participants can contact telephone number 03-2693 1008 for any enquiries and further information on the Negara Bangsa Short Video contest.
