General : Borderless Vehicle Registration System Expected To Be Implemented Nationwide On May 1

MELAKA, April 16 (Bernama) — The borderless vehicle registration system is expected to be implemented throughout the country beginning May 1, said Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi.

He said that under the system, vehicle suppliers could obtain the registration number for the state required without having to go to the state concerned.

For example, he said, a vehicle buyer in Melaka wishing to obtain a Johor registration number could apply to do so at the Melaka Road Transport Department (RTD) without any charge.
