He spent about 30 minutes with the 79-year-old actor whose full name is Mustapha Azahari Maarof. Mustapha, who has a lung infection, is in stable condition at the intensive care unit.
“He (Mustapha) seems to be in stable condition. The doctors will do their best to trace the source of the infection,” Ahmad Shabery told Bernama at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Mustapha’s daughter Azlynna, 46, said her father complained of having difficulty breathing on Nov 24 and was admitted to the Respiratory Medical Institute here and then referred to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on Tuesday.
“Father was transferred to the Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital on the same day and admitted to the ICU late yesterday evening after his condition turned critical,” she said.
