General : Agong Receives Business Tithe From Tabung Haji, Bank Rakyat

ALOR SETAR, May 14 (Bernama) — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah on Wednesday received RM8.93 million in business tithe for 2013 from Bank Rakyat and the Pilgrims Fund Board (Tabung Haji).

The ceremony was held at Istana Anak Bukit here.

The tithe would then be channelled to the Federal Territory Tithe Collection Centre (PPZ), which will receive RM3.29 million, and the remaining to Kedah Tithe Department (JZNK).

Tabung Haji, in a statement, said the board paid RM46.29 million in business tithe for 2013, from RM41.21 million in 2012.
