Of the total, 31,998 applications were for registration of new electors while 8,717 others were for a change of address in the voting centre.
The EC, in a statement in Putrajaya, Monday, said that supplementary electoral roll for the second quarter of this year would be displayed at 930 locations nationwide for 14 days beginning today.
The display locations consisted of 15 state election offices, 448 computerised post offices, 86 government complexes/offices, 122 district offices/land offices, 48 district/municipal councils, 194 multipurpose halls/community halls and 17 other locations.
“Applicants who applied to become new electors or change the address of voting centres in April, May and June 2014 are advised to check the supplementary electoral roll during the display period,” the statement said.
