PETALING JAYA: Teachers and students had a merry celebration honouring the teaching staff.
At SK Taman Megah here, many of the pupils toted large grocery bags laden with presents on Teachers Day yesterday.
“I like my teacher because she is kind,” said Jesreen Kaur, 10, who got a glass present for her teacher.
Two other 10-year-olds, Looi Sherlyn and Nicholas Wong, said they gave pens and flowers to their teachers.
The students also enjoyed performances by their schoolmates and teachers, including a number composed by teacher Leong Whye Sam.
