KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 (Bernama) — Petron Malaysia Refining and Marketing Bhd chalked up a smaller pre-tax loss of RM2.1 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2014 from a pre-tax loss of RM60.69 million recorded in the same period last year.
Revenue jumped to RM3.05 billion, during the period under review, from RM2.61 billion registered previously.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the company attributed the better performance to higher sales as a result of growing confidence in its brand.
