As the nation was transfixed on the political imbroglio in Selangor, Dr Mahathir Mohamad thrust himself into the limelight after dropping a bombshell on Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
On Monday, he penned a caustic posting on his blog, expressing disappointment with Najib's leadership and regretted supporting him in the past.
The Asia Sentinel reported that two to three months before this, the former premier had sent a letter, containing a list of demands, to Najib.
