AirAsia-Caterham team lands first-ever Moto2 podium finish

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian-backed Moto2 team AirAsia-Caterham landed their first-ever podium finish in the world championship through rider Johann Zarco at the Catalunya Grand Prix.

Frenchman Zarco grabbed the third spot, 11.157 seconds behind winner and pole-sitter Esteve Rabat of Spain, who finished in 41:23.197.

Maverick Vinales of Spain finished second, 4.244 behind Rabat.

With the result, Zarco now sits in ninth spot in the championship, amassing a total of 33 points after seven GP.
