UMNO Selangor leaders involved in the failure of the previous two elections should step down, says former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“The leaders of UMNO Selangor should accept their defeat in the previous 12th and 13th General Elections. They should resign,” Mahathir wrote in his blog posting today.
UMNO Selangor was led by current Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak during the last elections and was succeeded by Noh Omar.
Najib said last week that he is "tired and embarassed" whenever his party is referred to as the opposition in Selangor.
