Two student activists were arrested today for allegedly interfering in the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) eviction of squatters at Kg Chubadak Tambahan.
The arrested activists were Gabungan Mahasiswa Islam Se Malaysia (Gamis) committee member Ahmad Fahmi Mokhtar and Pro-Mahasiswa Nasional president Abdul Muqit Muhammad.
Fahmi is from the International Islamic University whereas Abdul Muqit is a Universiti Malaya student.
They were both arrested and brought to the Sentul Police Station.
The villagers of Kampung Chubadak Tambahan in Sentul were forced to evict their homes earlier this year after DBKL said the residents were illegal squatters.
