The Youth and Sports Ministry is investigating the type of treatment administered to a national athlete who has failed a doping test.
Its minister Khairy Jamaluddin, however, declined to reveal the athlete’s name until further tests confirm the presence of the banned drug.
“We have sought experts’ advice and discussed with doping specialists to see what could be the next steps. We are still gathering the facts,” said Khairy according to The Star today.
The unnamed national athlete tested positive for a random test conducted during a major tournament.
