"Rebuilding their houses and purchasing the basic needs required will not be easy, especially for the lower income group," MTUC secretary general N Gopal Kishnam said in a statement today.
"MTUC is urging private sector employers to go beyond their formal obligation by providing interest-free loans to their staff, in addition to what has been provided so far," Gopal said.
