The oldest cyclist to circle Peninsular Malaysia in 28 days in February, he would be pedalling around a number of European countries including England and Holland beginning next month.
He said the endeavour would take four months involving 7,500 kilometres.
“I usually train 40 kilometres daily. But during the fasting month I will only start at 6 pm and cover 10 kilometres before returning home to break fast,” he told Bernama when met at his residence in Jalan Telipot here today.
He is confident of being physically and mentally fit for the feat “to promote Malaysia in conjunction with the country’s Independence Day”.
Meanwhile, he said he needed a sponsorship of about RM100,000 to acquire the necessary contraptions for his bicycle, and to cover food and accommodation expenses.
