Some 600 protesters – mostly lawyers – have started marching from Padang Merbok against the Sedition Act.
The protesters were seen milling about the field since as early as 9.30am.
Among the prominent personalities present are Bar Council president Christopher Leong, former Bersih co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan, Parti Sosialis Malaysia secretary-general S Arulchelvan and opposition parliamentarians Teo Nie Ching, Nga Kor Ming, and Gobind Singh Deo.
