Selangor’s Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today did not hide his displeasure with Pakatan Rakyat for having caused a political crisis in the state.
Siding with ousted menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, the sultan singled out PKR as having engaged in “instigating and mudslinging”.
He said the whole crisis was “sparked” by the Kajang Move and the bid to remove Khalid, who was sacked from PKR for refusing to resign as MB.
“PKR continued with their agenda, even during the holy month of Ramadan, by maligning and condemning (Khalid) until they reached their goal of ousting Khalid as MB,” he said.
The sultan thanked Khalid for performing his duty “completely and successfully” and for maintaining good ties with the palace.
He said the crisis had opened his “eyes and heart and shaped (his) views” on the Selangor political situation, but reminded all that politicians come and go.
