Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali decided to tour Pulau Ketam on a bicycle with state exco Elizabeth Wong riding pillion.
Along the way, he made several brief stops to meet with the local residents and listen to their grouses.
But it was not all fun and games for the menteri besar.
Ditching the bike, Azmin continued his tour of the island on foot, inspecting a damaged basketball court, and the garbage piling up underneath the walkways.
Village representative Andy Cheah told Azmin that they used to burn the debris and trash, but no longer did so because it was illegal.
Shipping the trash out of the island meanwhile, is too difficult.
