PKR's Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli has urged the government to reveal recipients of loans from Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad (MDV) amounting to some RM2 billion: http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/281803
Rafizi said this is after the government "wrote off" RM400 million in debt for MDV which is wholly owned by the finance ministry.
The "write-off", he said, is after the government converted its RM400 million loan into shares of the same value in MDV.
"MDV is a wholly-owned government company, any action to increase government equity in MDV will not make any difference in terms of the federal government's control," he told a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
