PKR de-facto leader Anwar Ibrahim said his wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail was chosen as a candidate for the Selangor menteri besar’s post because she is the party president and a capable former opposition leader.
Anwar said he was surprised with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's criticisms on nepotism following Wan Azizah being nominated, and said he would not want to be dragged into this discussion.
