PAS’ Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin today challenged Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Joseph Kurup to resign from the cabinet if the rest of the latter’s colleagues disagree with his urging for the attorney-general to re-look at Ibrahim Ali’s Bible threat case.
In a press conference at the Parliament lobby today, Hanipa said that the cabinet “must be in one voice” on matters such as this and to that end, Kurup must make a “clear stand” on the matter.
He also asked the government to using the AG’s Chambers as an “excuse” to defend its own silence on the issue.
