Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim is confident that he will not be imprisoned as a result of Sodomy II.
He said this when addressing his supporters outside the Palace of Justice today.
He said that winning is possible due to the arguments made by his defence team when compared to the case made by prosecutor Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.
“We will further argue our case this Thursday. According to the facts and law, the case should have been thrown out at the initial stage itself,” he said, to thunderous applause.
