TELUK INTAN: More than a third of the Chinese voters in Teluk Intan are expected to vote for Barisan Nasional.
Chinese comprise over 41% of the 60,000 voters in the constituency and their support is crucial for the coalition, says Teluk Intan MCA chairman Datuk Seri Kuan Peng Soon. He put the support to up to 35%.
“There are clear indicators of a substantial swing to Barisan,” Kuan said, citing the Chinese’s concerns over PAS pushing for hudud in Parliament this September.
