GEORGE TOWN: Thousands of people lined the streets of Penang to send off the hearse carrying Karpal Singh on his last journey.
The casket, bearing the body of the “Tiger of Jelutong”, was draped with a carpet with an image of a Tiger before it was carried out from the Dewan Sri Pinang on Sunday.
Shouts of “Karpal Singh” from the public could be heard from outside the building before a grand funeral procession took place.
The procession also made stops at several places dear to Karpal – the Penang High Court, his office in Green Hall, the Penang state assembly building, his alma mater St Xavier’s Instituti…
