Its information chief Sahrihan Jani defended Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak over this issue.
"The opposition only knows how to look for issues to politicise without thinking about Najib’s main focus which is to ensure that the country remains peaceful and there will be no individuals who will dare to be traitors," he told Umno Online.
With racial and religious tension escalating, Sahrihan said Najib’s decision to strengthen the Act was timely.
