TELUK INTAN: Gerakan president Datuk Mah Siew Keong has regained the Teluk Intan parliamentary seat in a close fight with a 238-majority win over DAP’s Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud.
Mah polled 20,157 votes while Dyana Sofya gained 19,919 and there were 543 spoilt votes. The by-election results were announced at SMK Abdul Aziz Talib here.
In his victory speech, Mah thanked the people of Teluk Intan for believing in him to bring changes to the constituency. He was the seat’s two-term MP from 1999 to 2008.
“I will work hard for Teluk Intan,” he said.
