KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) — Tabung Haji Travel and Services Sdn Bhd (THTS) has never recommended that intending umrah pilgrims go for the H1N1 vaccination as a precautionary measure against the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-coronavirus (MERS-CoV).
Tabung Haji Business Development General Manager, Shahrunnajmi Basharudin, in a statement here Thursday said the umrah pilgrims were only encouraged to get the type A, C, Y and W135 Meningococcal Meningitis vaccine injections.
The statement was issued to correct media reports on May 7, which said that umrah pilgrims were advised to get the H1N1 vaccination to prevent MERS-CoV.BERNAMA – English Version
